SADC - SOCIETY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT

Mission

The Society for Environmental Development (SADC) of Charlevoix is a profit-free economic development organisation financed by the Government of Canada.  The Society serves a population of more than 60,000 persons living on a large territory located between Baie-Sainte-Catherine and l’Ile d’Orléans.  The Society’s mission is to stimulate collective participation in managing its economic future.  We offer help, technical and financial intervention services for starting and expanding enterprises.  We are in a position to support and help citizens go further regardless of the developmental phase of their endeavours.

Our tools exist to meet the needs of the people of Charlevoix.  The Society is, for all entrepreneurs, an important data bank and referral of their actions towards new poles of development and growing markets.  Our advisors are always on the lookout for economic movements whether in Charlevoix, elsewhere in the Province or in other spheres.  They can contribute to enhance a business performance for those wish to increase their competitiveness.

We support communities by :

Insuring community development by using the environment’s dynamic elements;

Respecting local autonomy and supporting local talents;
Favouring multisectorial partnerships;
Favouring a long term strategic approach;
Uniting public and private sectors as well as the OBNL;
Supporting local entrepreneurs and PME;
Contributing to the development of the community’s quality of life.
