Mission

The office of the National Capital is an administrative agency answering directly to the Minister in charge of the National Capital (Quebec City).  Its mission is to contribute to the socio-economic development of the National Capital’s region and to favour consultation of governmental and regional partners involved in the region’s growth.  This action takes concrete form in establishing and maintaining links with the region’s economic and social actors.

Collaborating with the ministries involved in economic affairs as well as with its regional partners, the Office of the National Capital strengthens its development efforts in contributing to,
- follow-up of socio-economic developments in the Quebec City area and in the region of the National Capital;
- execution of private and public projects by dispensing various funds.

 The territory of the region of the National Capital (region 03) covers the cities of Quebec, Saint-Augustin and L’Ancienne-Lorette and six MRC, i.e., Charlevoix, Charlevoix-East, Ile d’Orléans, Côte-de-Beaupré, Portneuf and La Jacques Cartier.
