The low cost of housing is a great asset for Charlevoix. In comparison to North-American or European regions, it is relatively inexpensive to live here. The purchase of a house or rental of an apartment, at reasonable prices, is quite feasible and there are many types of homes: modern one-family homes, elegant old houses, safe and functional apartments in villages, pretty homes in the three small cities in Charlevoix. It is also possible to purchase a house in the country for a reasonable price, always within one hundred kilometres from downtown Quebec City.
