In my role as regional entrepreneur with few means at my disposal except for my courage and experience, my valorous team and father’s support, I managed to express, transfer and transpose my passion for public relations into credible projects but mainly to plan the limitless possibilities of making Charlevoix known to the entire world.  I believed in the diversity of its products, the strength of its interveners, the potential of its exceptional territory but also in the absolute necessity to sharpen our collective personalities and organisations so that we would become easily accessible to world markets.  The year 2009 suffered a major world recession and all the while, e-commerce was becoming a flourishing reality.  This new computerised positioning would become the guiding light for our ambitions, the reference for our common targets towards objectives aimed at our collective well-being, a just prosperity and the overwhelming reach of parameters that would signal the beginning of the sustainable era.  Our positioning on the Internet global market in that year showed however a serious lack of accomplishments with respect to what had to be undertaken and realised.

Charlevoix 2049 is more vibrant than ever, and the vigorous actions taken to unite all its citizens have given the region access to an integrated electronic highway.  After several decades of using decentralisation as a means to an end, when we had the same ressources to be allocated to different structures locally accessible only, we finally understood that it was more profitable to unite in one coherent group.  Democracy is viable: every one has a fair share of the collective wealth and a consensus basically redefines daily and with precision a plan reflecting our primary needs.  The World Biosphere Reserve of Charlevoix is today a year-round all-seasons global holiday destination and agreements benefit our regional partners from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean to the North Shore.  Quebec City and Montreal join with us to reach common markets through campaigns that position tourism in Quebec as the ideal place for long holidays.

It is 2049, and I can retire with pride and I understand the importance of my vision and contribution. Now 40 years later, Charlevoix has a healthy population of 50,000 citizens committed to their region.  In my 89th year, my 25 associates share my vision and my business. Our land is still in a natural state, well-protected, well-organised, with a good cyclical return.  A just return to an era when our old neighbours lived in their summer homes that were transformed in museums to the glory of Charlevoix know-how.
